(More customer reviews)I have two of these products and have been using one of them for about ten years. The other was bought within the last 6 months.I own an older home which does not have any outside lighting where I need it.In my case, it's the driveway.I routed an outside light fixure, plug-in, which cost about $6, at a local hardware store along with a heavy-duty extention cord to the nearest power source.Mounted the Motion light adapter where I needed it and plugged it in.Instant light when needed!
This product is adjustable for nighttime only operation, staying on for one minute after no motion is detected, which is the setting I use, or 24 hour operation, staying on for 10 minutes after no motion is detected, or a combination of both. The adjustable mounting bracket can be angled to provide the light coming on only when someone has walked or driven into a certain area. You may have to adjust this over again as I had to.I didn't want the light coming on everytime a random car went up or down the street.Found the perfect angle for me.This motion sensor light worked so well for me that I bought another one, pointing this one towards the door.I now have a light come on as I enter the porch area as well as when I walk into the driveway. My kids laugh, but it works for me.Good product that doesn't require any fancy light fixture or bulbs that are obscure to you.It will not use flourescent lights, however.I use ordinary spot-light bulbs.
