(More customer reviews)So I wanted to recess some lights into a drywall ceiling.I went to the local home store and found these.It seems like a great idea - there are little bars that hang on the dry wall and you tighten screws to raise the light.Simple right?

Wrong:

1.) No instructions. Nothing.(2 boxes, so I assume it wasn't just an error) (OK, to be fair there are some wiring instructions printed on the box, butnothing on installation.And if you need wiring instructions you probably shouldn't be doing it.)
2.) No template on what size hole to cut.I would even have been satisfied with a length and width.but you are left to your own.
3.) THE LITTLE ARMS ONLY BRING THE LAMP TO ABOUT 1" OF THE CEILING.THERE IS A FLANGE THAT SHOULD CLEARLY GO UP AGAINST THE DRY WALL BUT IT CAN'T GET THERE!I had to add 1" spacers on top of the dry wall to raise it up high enough.I assume that's what I need to do, but I'm not sure since there aren't instruction.

Once I finally got them installed (after modifying my holes, trying several spacers and much cursing) they shed a fair amount of light.But it's a poor design.

I'm not sure if there is anything better available, but this was a serious pain.
